The winner takes it all…

First of all – THANKS FOR ALL THE SUPPORT AND AMAZING EMAILS. I will keep every word in my heart and so happy knowing I inspired so many people around the world.

Paradise Hotel 2013 is over…I didn’t win, but I managed to get all the way to the day before the finale. I’m so proud of myself and the person I am. On tv you didn’t see what my game really was and that there was a thought behind some of the “stupid” game moves I did (f.ex letting Sandra end last in a “chain thing” hoping I could get her out even though we played in the same group, and I wanted to protect Malene without my group knowing). I acted little naiv to get myself longer so I didn’t seem like a strong player that was first on the list to kick out…it worked. Problem was that my last partner thought I was “blonde” and didn’t knew anything about the game and he was the reason I got kicked out on the second last day, damn… Ah well. I think it was the right winner and I actually also think it’s alright he dropped the ball and took all the money himself. Congratulation to Nicolas and I’m smiling knowing that I was behind his exit…lucky he got the chance to get back into the game

I had the time of my life and I would totally do it again. Met so many great people and it was amazing to see them all again yesterday at the party. It might be over on tv, but I hope that I will keep the friendships I made at Paradise Hotel – you are all very special to me…

Paradise Hotel 2013 – The Finale

Last week (week 12) at Paradise Hotel was a mental rough week, which was my first week as a normal contestant. I was sharing partner with Malene, because that was the prize for the  Mr. Paradise competition (link to my first update). But since Malene and Kasper where kinda dating at this point, then there was no way I could get Kasper as my partner. So I was still alone, which is VERY DANGEROUS

Monday it was Anna that had to leave the hotel (she was one of the girls that got put in great danger at the couples ceremony) , which was the girl Martin was crazy about…hmmm and Martin was the guy with the great body that I liked…Yay maybe I could work my way to get him as my partner ? Woop woop…

Anna and Christopher left the hotel, and in walks 2 new guests – JACK & DANIELA…From tears to smiling, we had to give them a warm welcome because they had a “special assignment” which we didn’t know what was. It turned out to be that they had to chose 1 person that could be a part of the important “VIP Paradise group” with them. They thought about choosing me since I was new like themselves (and as Daniela said about me; “She’s not just a pretty face, but I don’t think she’s the sharpest knife in the drawer either” hahaha that’s funny said), but ended up having Nicolas as their first member. I was so sad because we knew it was important to be in that VIP group before Thursday as we would be secured for next week.

During the week we would have options to fight for a spot in the VIP group, but we only had 1 chance. If we lost the challenge given we couldn’t compete again. I was fast and jumped straight into the 1st challenge, but lost Now what? I could only wait to see what happened the next couple of days…I HATED IT!!

Well I ended up being lucky getting into the VIP group anyway, because Nicolas had the power to swap 1 person out. So he swapped Nathja out and put me in…I WAS SO HAPPY

But the same day Nicolas had to chose a person to sit over in the couples ceremony and not be able to have a partner behind…and that was me..I WAS SO FURIOUS I wanted a partner so bad and I wanted to get into the game. Now I could only sit there and watch and do absolutely nothing about that Daniela got Martin as her partner…hmmm

And the worst part about it…I had to move room to the awful “SOLO”..so not VIP!!

But I shouldn’t complain because I’m still at the hotel… It’s a new week (week 13) and Monday evening a very hot guy checked into the hotel…Yum yum yum and he was going to be living at “SOLO” with me….damn His name is Nichlas, he has been in one of the earlier seasons of Paradise Hotel so all the other girls knew him and where CRAZY about him (which I can understand, he’s so cute…Like a danish version of Justin Bieber hahaha).

Tuesday I was the happiest girl in the world because we where having a champagne party – MY KIND OF PARTY WOOHOO But suddenly when we where partying some loud bells where ringing. It was so scary. The waiter then comes in with a black letter for us. It said that in exactly 12 hours 1 girls has to leave the hotel……..

FUCK!!!

Is it me that has to leave??? And it’s not even Thursday yet. Thursday is the day we have the couples ceremony where we expect that a person leaves…not on a Wednesday

This game is so unpredictable…I DON’T WANNA LEAVE THE HOTEL…I’m having too much fun!!!!!!

This story is originally written in danish for Red Bull Denmark (Danish version further down)…so forgive me if the translation is a bit funny

I’m sitting in Sydney thinking about “What gives me wings?”. Well immediately a smile appears on my lips…HEY I’m in Sydney in Australia, that is where I live and have done for almost 3 years now. I can’t believe I dared to do that move and sell everything I owned in Denmark, to just rip away the comfortable blanket underneath my feet and fly away to the other side of the world…. WOOHOO I can totally recall that rush and energies just thinking back at it. BUT believe me it was not easy, I was scared and constantly thinking about all the negative things all the things that could go wrong, like what if I wouldn’t make it there, what if it was just a crazy summer holliday flirt that would end after 3 month…then what? And what about all the people I would miss and things I would be missing out on? So many thoughts in my head! But I LOVE TO CHALLENGE MYSELF and I love to throw myself out from the rooftop (often not with the “head” first)…so I guess I just have to grow wings on my way

I live in Australia to train my sport “pole dance”. Some of the worlds best pole athletes are located here in Sydney, and that means I can’t be the best all the time, ACTUALLY I have to fight a lot for it. It’s a massive struggle sometimes because my body is not build for the sport I love. If I would have to go through a talent spotting program for pole dancers, I wouldn’t have made the first round. My hip is rotated so I can’t do any spilts and will probably never be able to (very important in many of the tricks we do), I cannot point my big toe it points up to the air (important in a pointed foot that it goes down, it’s alfa omega for a dancer)…So why do I do this instead of giving up? Why do I keep believing I can play with the “top of the pops”? Why do I keep putting myself though the pain when all the other girls goes down in their flat splits next to me? Why do I dare competing in some of the worlds hardest pole competitions knowing I cannot do half the tricks they can? You know what, ALL THAT doesn’t hold me back for at least trying my best…a bumblebee is not supposed to fly either hahaha

“The road to success comes through hard work, determination, and personal sacrifice”…yeah I guess that’s what gives me wings. It’s the bumping road that gives me “the drive”. It’s the training and soreness in my body. It’s to watch myself develop my skills and to pick myself up when times are tough. It’s the tears when I’m about to give up and the happiness when I finally get the trick I’ve been attempting to get for half a year . Because when you finally “get it” it’s the best feeling ever, but you have to challenge yourself and maybe make a fool out of yourself a couple of times. It’s the education of life, but you will have to step out of your comfort zone and jump of the cliff if you wanna be a master at something.

I’ve learned so much from my pole training. I learned that NOTHING COMES EASY, it takes a lot of effort – determination and dedication PLUS constantly challenge your fears. But the feeling when I’m hanging with my head down and lifting my own body weight out in positions that are against the law of gravity AND in front of a big audience, THAT’S THE GREATEST FEELING and where all my hard work pays off. I love performing, when I’m on stage I feel complete. Up there I can be the best version of myself, I’m super woman and nobody can touch me…because I was the one who dared to be up there!

Når jeg sidder her i Sydney og tænker på hvad der giver mig vinger, kommer der straks et smil på læben. HEY jeg er i Sydney i Australien, jeg bor her sgu og har gjort det i snart 3 år. Tænk at jeg turde tage springet og sælge ALT, rive hele mit fodfæste op og bare flyve afsted….WOOHOO jeg får sgu helt et rush bare ved at tænke på alle de energier igen. Men tro mig det var ikke nemt, der var en masse skræk forbundet med min tossede ide og en masse negative tanker om jeg nu ville klare det og om det bare var en sommer forelskelse der ville gå over efter 3 måneder og hvad så? Samt alt det jeg ville savne og ikke mindst gå glip af, hvilket var nok det jeg var mest skrækslagen over. Men jeg ELSKER at udfordre mig selv og jeg ELSKER at kaste mig ud i ting (ofte ikke med “hovedet” først)…så må jeg jo bare gro vinger på vejen

Jeg er taget til Australien for at dyrke min sport “pole dance”. Her i Sydney findes nogle af verdens bedste, det vil også sige at jeg ikke lige kan være den bedste hele tiden. TVÆRTIMOD jeg kæmper RIGTIG hårdt og har fundet ud af at min krop ikke er bygget til den sport jeg elsker. Hvis man skulle putte mig igennem et talent program for pole dansere, ville jeg nok ikke engang nå første runde. Jeg har en skæv hofte der gør at jeg ikke kan gå i split eller spagat og kommer nok aldrig til det (meget vigtigt i mange af de tricks vi laver), jeg kan ikke strække min storetå helt ud, den stritter opad (vigtigt i en “pointed foot” at storetåen går ned og strækte fødder er alfa omega for en danser)…Så hvorfor gør jeg det så? Hvorfor bliver jeg ved med at tro jeg kan blande mig i toppen af poppen? Hvorfor bliver jeg ved med at blive trist når jeg ser alle andre gå i split og spagat lige ved siden af mig? Hvorfor gider jeg at udsætte mig selv for det enorme pres at stå i en af verdens hårdeste pole konkurrencer op imod top atleter, vel vidende at jeg min krop ikke kan præstere halvdelen af de tricks de andre kan? For ved i hvad, ALT DET holder mig nemlig ikke tilbage for i det mindste at forsøge En brumbasse burde jo heller ikke kunne flyve hahaha…

“Nogle gange skal man kæmpe hårdt for at nå toppen”…ja og det er nok det der giver mig vinger. Det er vejen til toppen der driver mig, det er den daglige træning og smerten i min krop. Det er at se mig selv udvikle mig eller at samle mig selv op når det er hårdest. Det er tårerne når jeg er ved at give op og glæden når det trick jeg har forsøgt at få hver dag i et halvt år endelig er der. For når det så lykkedes er det den vildeste følelse, men man skal turde kaste sig ud i det og ikke være bange for at gøre sig selv til grin et par gange. Det er livets uddannelse og man kommer ingen vegne hvis ikke man tør bryde nogle grænser og udfordre sig selv.

Jeg har lært meget af at træne pole. Jeg har lært at man ikke kommer nemt til det, det kræver træning og hård disciplin OG det kræver at du tør overskride en masse grænser!!! Men den følelse når jeg hænger med hovedet nedaf og løfter mig selv ud i armene og bryder tyngdeloven og oven i købet gør det for et kæmpe publikum, det er den VILDESTE FØLELSE. Jeg elsker at underholde og optræde med pole, deroppe kan jeg være den bedste udgave af mig selv, jeg er super woman og ingen kan rører mig…for jeg var hende der turde

Last Monday I came into Paradise Hotel 2013 as a guest judge in their Mr. Paradise competition (week 11 in the tv show). I was going to teach the boys some tricks on the pole and other usefull stage tricks so they could entertain in a dance show. The other guests knew me form the media and as Paris Hilton (guessing everyone know who she is?) & Patrick Nielsen (danish professional boxer) had already been visitors at the hotel earlier, everyone expected the same thing with my appearance…ONLY a visit. BUT I had a secret I couldn’t reveal and that was that I knew I would win “Mr. Paradise” as my partner the next week and check in to the hotel as a “normal” guest…

But the game was quite hard to get into as it was already week 11 out of 18 weeks, so a lot of the boys was close with their partners and had their groups they played the game with. So my only chance of getting a good partner (in my eyes without knowing some of the dramas that’s been going on) was to try to get Christopher to win the Mr. Paradise competition. He was new and was currently with a girl called Anna. Anna was head over heels with Martin (who just came back into the hotel the same day as me). Martin was crazy about Anna as well and put all his attention on her, so I couldn’t really see a way in to the game with him as a partner (too bad cause I really liked his body hahaha)…But what I didn’t know and nobody told me cause they didn’t think I was a part of the game or the gameplan, was that while Martin was out of the hotel Anna had sex with 2 of the other guys…So that could have been my way of turning Martin towards me. Anyway it wasn’t only up to me who was winning Mr. Paradise, so I kinda just had to go a long with the things happening around me…..and how do I do that best? Well JUST GO WITH IT and see what happens (read; party and have fun …and being annoying to some of the girls because I was flirting a lot with the boys…ooops!! )

Already Tuesday I got myself into trouble ending in a bath with Kasper & Nicolas. Kasper was dating/partnering Malene and she wasn’t that happy that A FUCKING STRIPPER (yes that’s what she called me…) was in a bathtub with her flirt AND that the doors was locked. I was having a great time dancing in g-string, a bra, sunglasses and soap all over…hahahaha oh typically me. So Malene and Kasper had a fight…ooops!!

Wednesday was the day where Mr. Paradise would win his trophy and still nobody knew that I was going to check in as a normal guest. I was terrifying about it since I wouldn’t be protected by the “tv show” any longer I would be on my own after that, and how long would I actually manage to stay alive in the game?

The challenges went on and later that day we had to find a winner for Mr. Paradise. When the host Rikke told about the extra prize that Mr. Paradise was getting 2 partners, STILL nobody expected it to be me…it was SO FUNNY. But then Rikke said my name and the girls screamed and it seemed like everyone was happy that I was going to stay…phew…and then again….

I didn’t get Christopher as Mr. Paradise. It was Kasper who won and then he had to sleep in my bed, Malene wasn’t very happy about that part (he was the guy I was in the bath with)..But she’s a smart girl and new that she had to stay good friends with me since I where going to sleep next to her partner and flirt and that way I probably wouldn’t do anything (have sex) with Kasper. Kasper wasn’t a bad choice for me either, because Malene and Kasper where quite smart in the game and I wouldn’t mind staying good friends with them and hope for some kind of protection/help further on in the game.

Every Thursday a person has to leave the hotel. Everyone is scared cause you can’t trust anyone and NOONE wants to go home. There’s a “couples ceremony”/elimination where we have to find a partner, and there can only be one partner for each (unless there’s another thing going on like Kasper “Mr. Paradise” won 2 girls) and since there’s an uneven number of guys and girls, there will not be enough for everyone and someone has to leave the hotel….it’s so exciting, scary and you never know if there’s gonna be a twist in “the game”!!

I was secured this week, so I could relax…But Christopher couldn’t trust Anna, who chose Martin as her partner instead. But there’s often a twist in this game and this Thursday night Christopher didn’t have to leave the hotel straight away AND he should NOT leave alone!!!!!! He got the chance of putting 2 of the girls in GREAT DANGER and one of them had to leave with him the day after…He chose Anna and Nathja. How that girl would be eliminated from the game, nobody knew – we could only guess…and wait.

So that night we partied like it was the last night and I ended up being a little cheeky in the pool with one of the boys…oops sorry dad I kissed with Rasmus and I kissed him because I thought he was cute and you kinda forget that there’s cameras on….damn!! Anyway I think Rasmus is a great guy, but in the game he was partner with Shila and he told me he would never change his partner…so that kiss wasn’t tactic

In 2011 I got contacted by Matt Granger who wanted to shoot me for his art project Private Bodies. First I said no because of “who I am in Denmark”, but I liked the idea of “the celebration of beauty and the human form.”…that’s who I am and what I wanna put out there too. I see myself as an artist, so why not support another artist that shares the same passion!!

Private Bodies is finally ready and going to be an 235mm x 320mm (9.2×12.6 inch) portrait-oriented, hardcover coffee table book with approximately 200 pages containing a mix of full-color and monochrome photos on high quality paper. (Yes it’s not only me in it hahaha ).

ENGLISH UPDATE FURTHER DOWN!!!

Åh åh så er det en realitet…Jeg tjekker sgu ind i Paradise Hotel 2013 på Mandag (imorgen). De startede med et besøg af Paris Hilton, men nu kommer jeg forbi hotellet Jeg skal være gæste dommer i Mr. Paradise konkurrencen og det er jo oplagt at jeg lige skal vise lidt tricks samt se om jeg kan lave lidt ballade hahaha…

Jeg har altid været fan af programmet, men havde aldrig forestillet mig at skulle være en del af det…bl.a fordi jeg har siddet og rystet på hovedet af nogle af de deltager der har været med (ligesom jeg ved at mange andre danskere også gør). Har haft sagt nej før dengang jeg boede i Danmark, men nu er det som om at jeg med mine titler “Miss Nude Sydney“, “Miss Burlesque Melbourne”, “Best Butt NSW” og jeg er pole danser, jamen så passer jeg pludselig meget godt ind til konceptet. Derudover elsker jeg at udfordre mig selv, vi lever jo kun én gang. Glæder mig selv til at se hvad der kommer med på 33 minutter ud af 24 timer, for jeg har det jo ikke med at være genert

Håber I vil følge med her på min blog, se programmet på TV3 eller Viaplay.dk. Kan forestille mig at der nok kommer lidt situationer hvor jeg gerne vil forklare mig hahahaha…

NOW IT’S A “REALITY”…I’m gonna be in a reality tv show called Paradise Hotel. Unfortunately it’s the Danish version even though we filmed it in Mexico, so I can’t link to it and you can’t watch it…so sorry But I will try and update as much as possible so you can follow all my crazy adventures. It’s the 9th season in Denmark and it’s been running on the tv screens since January and Paris Hilton was in it the first week to help out and now it’s my turn to come and be a guest judge in their Mr. Paradise competition…and just stir things up a bit

Paradise Hotel is originally an American reality television program that aired on Fox in 2003. In the show, a group of single people live in a luxurious hotel resort, competing to see who can stay in the hotel the longest. Periodically, someone is removed from the show, and others are brought in to replace them. Each week couples pair off and must share a hotel room together. One person is left over, and he or she has to leave. That person is then replaced the following episode. If you survive to the end you can go home with $100.000/DKK 500.000,-…

I just love those parties…Everyone is dressed up and just so damn good looking. The first couple of times I performed I was a bit intimidated by the crowd, because of their awesomeness and beauty. A lot of people think that the “Hot Kandi” crowd is pretentious, but the fact is that they are the nicest  people I’ve met in my life…and by far the hottest!!!! Nobody is too caught up in them self to come and give me compliments about my show or to others about their costume…There’s so much LOVE IN THE AIR and celebration to “PEOPLE THAT DARE TO BE DIFFERENT”…oh I wish I could live in a Hot Kandi world every day

I’m such an angel hahahha

Detox’ing today…and I’m soooo hungry!! Why? Because I need to get back into shape in “no time” …like the rest of the world wants to get rid of that Christmas fat!!

I’m still satisfied with my body as it is, but before I left for my family trip I was in my best shape ever. I could feel that my inside and outside was just how I wanted it. Tricks was easier to get on the pole and I was just on a good track, so I wanna get back to that HAPPY SPACE  asap.

I loved every second of my trip, and the first 2 weeks I tried to keep up my training with push-ups, sit-ups, eating the right things from all the great food that got served for me…But alcohol, good times and AMAZING food caught up on me and since I don’t like eating with a guilty feeling I let myself dig in to all the savories, stopped my training (so my injuries could recover totally, knowing that I would get back on the pole the moment I came back to Australia)…and that ended with a split dress oops!!

So me and my friend Amarli Inez (Miss Nude Australia 2010) decided to be “training buddies” this year and that should start out with a detox day which is today!! So from tomorrow we will eat healthy and be tough on ourself, if we are having hard times we can call each other and get support and we are already sending cheering txt’s and questions….

If we “fail” there’s a PENALTY…We have to donate $50 to a charity  of the opposite persons choice. I think that’s a very good one instead of rewarding (which normally would be something unhealthy). So if we wanna eat something bad, we do something good for others

My detox… Today I’ve only been having coconut water and normal water, so good so far…The coconut water gives me the energy I need to not fall over (cause there’s sugar and protein in it, but the bad thing about coconut water is that it’s also high on saturated fat). My trick to stay on my detox is I just need to keep myself active to forget I’m hungry. So I’ve been cleaning the apartment (incl. windows from the outside which I haven’t done since I moved in), I’ve been doing pole training (which I haven’t been doing since middle of November), practiced some good tricks and found out I’m not so far behind as I thought (maybe because I had Cleo to push me) and I even got a new tricks woohoo…

So my advice to keeping up with “that” new years resolution diet” is to get your friends to support you, it helps
