MY STORY

For my ONLINE RESUME see “YOU WANT ME” ;-)

CHILDHOOD:

I was born a very cold and snowy morning in March 1979 on a little island in Denmark called “Møn. I grew up in a very small and charming town where my parents owned the local bakery shop. I was the family’s little princess and only girl out of 3 kids. My mums biggest dream when she was young was to be a dancer, but she went for the “love story” and dedicated her life to the family and the bakery shop instead. Mum and dad where married for 26 years before she passed away to cancer, I was only 12 years old and we miss her every day…

Only 2,5 years old my mum brought me to my first dance class, but I didn’t wanna dance with the boys so my mum had to be my partner (I don’t think she minded that hahaha). But that part changed fast and already when I was around 5 years old I started competing and helped out at the dance school and I never looked back…a dancer was born!!!!

TEENAGER:

In 1996 I decided to move away from home and follow a “little” dream of being the world champion in Ballroom dancing…that never happened ;-) But I found an amazing partner in Copenhagen, we just kept getting injured and the fight of starting over all the time made us “break up”. I had to find another goal to work towards and that was to get into the dance troupe in “Cirkus Revyen”, which for me at that time where some of the greatest dancers in Denmark…I got that in 2002…Why so many years after? I tell you ;-)

FEM@LE:

After high school I was so lucky getting a record deal…YEAH :-D It was with a girl group called  Fem@le (mainly pumped up cover songs like “Lambada”, “Leaving On A Jetplane” & “Lollipop”)…It was awesome and we went to Kosovo & Bosnia and performed for all the soldiers and around on A LOT of festivals and clubs in Denmark during 1999 – 2001. Unfortunately that ended when the record company didn’t know how to manage our money and had to shot down…The time after was quite confusing, didn’t know how to chose between all the offers I got…Ended up not choosing any and gave my old goal “Cirkus Revyen” a go…and got it.

INFERNAL:

From 2003-2007 I toured with the danish hit-group INFERNAL, mainly on their “From Paris To Berlin Tour”. Lina and I where like soul mates on the stage and I have so many magical moments to think back at. I often miss what we had together, but I quit cause I thought I was going for “my love story”…But as some of Infernal’s songs written about me tells, my love story was tough and we didn’t pull through. (Songs as “Ten Miles” & “Days Full Of Loving”). Good thing I still had my tv-job to focus on…

TV PERSONALITY & RADIO HOST:

In 2004 I got a phone call if I wanted to be a TV host, who can say no to that :-D ? So from 2004-2008 I worked for “The Voice Tv” & “The Voice Radio”. I found out that I absolutely loved standing in front of the camera or sitting behind the microphone, and I bring a lot of personality and dedication into my job and sometimes I forget that behind that camera or mic there’s actually thousands of people “out there”…I just love to entertain and tell my stories and I want people to get the best of me. I don’t waste any time and I don’t wanna waste anyone’s time either. I always give 100%. After I stopped at “The Voice” I got to do a lot of other fun tv shows… Please see “YOU WANT ME” for an overlook of all the amazing stuff I’ve done with TV & RADIO!!

BOBBI’S POLE STUDIO:

In 2008 I wanted to try some of that pole dancing all the stars in the US where talking about. It was really new in Denmark, actually there was only one place just started out. A couple of weeks after I started I ended up being one of the teachers. The media was very interested in my new passion and I was able to get it out to Denmark how cool this new workout style was. After The Voice I put all my focus into my pole dancing, but I was pretty much self taught. As it got bigger and bigger in Denmark, I wanted to be better. So I ripped out 3 month of my calender to go to “The Worlds Biggest Pole School – Bobbi’s Pole Studio in Sydney” and take my pole dancing to another level. While I was in Australia training I got between the finalists for a very big pole competition “Pole Art 2010″ which was held in Stockholm. I went back to Europe for the competition, but I knew that I had to come back to Sydney straight after…I wasn’t done and couldn’t imagine not having all the greatest pole dancers around me, it just felt right. So went back 2 more month and that was when I decided to do “the big move”.

THE BIG MOVE:

In February 2011 I sold all my stuff in Denmark and sent 3 moving boxes to Australia, ready to build up a new life…I’m still here ;-)

Please follow my blog to see what crazy life I’m living here hahaha :-D
